PC is busted

1 min read
Sorry for the long hiatus ;-;

For the first time ever, I went into a hiatus not because of an artblock, but because of something else. Because of a mean ol' lightning, my pc fried up, and now this """""new"""""" pc I'm using sucks to the point that I can't draw stuff here. I'm still drawing on my notebook, so I'll maybe post something from there when I can, but in general, I'll not be able to draw on my pc for a while, at least until my father's able to buy us a new pc. Until then... ;-;

STORY IDEAS!

8 min read
All thanks to :icondogman0:'s journal, I decided to do what he did and show y'all some story ideas that I thought about, but I wasn't too sure about wether I should start them or not.
CHECK HIS JOURNAL HERE:  Story ideas (please vote)Ok, as some of you know, I have been trying to put a story on DeviantArt for some time now. Starting with Crystal Shards, Cinderella: the brother's story, and recently Spells Trouble. What you don't know is that I don't have a few stories I want to tell. Oh no...I have a thousand stories in my head! A thousand workable stories, all at the same time, in my head. What I really want, is to take one of these stories, put them on paper, and get it off the ground, but I quickly lose focus and motivation. So, I want to hear from you guys (if you're reading this) to give me your opinion on what kind of story you think would be worth fleshing out and writing for you guys. I will still be working on Spells Trouble, but that is because I honestly think it's a good idea. But here are some ideas that I want to hear from you about. There is no time limit, so feel free to come back and debate on it. I want to hear from you. Please and thank you!
P.s. :iconMSMoura: also posted a story ideas lis

Like, really. Go check it out. It has some amazing story ideas, some of which I went all fanboy over just thinking about reading. They're awesome.

Since I already started writing two stories, I don't know when (or if) I'll end up starting these ones I'll talk about, but who knows. I just would love to hear anyone's opinion on them, since I only talked about them with one person so far, so I'd like to hear different opinions on them.
I don't know if they're good ideas per se, nor if they are original, but all of them I think I'd have a ton of fun writing, and that's what important (maybe?).

1. Death’s Apprentice

"Death is preparing for her 50 year vacation, and she needs someone to fill her role during that time. Thing is, the only entity willing to do it is a not so skillful nor bright girl called Laura. Laura is not only bad at killing, she’s bad at pretty much everything. Will Death be able to teach Laura to be the perfect Death before her vacation comes?"

This one is as cartoony as it sounds. I'd make a sort of "dark" comedy, but with enough lightness that it doesn't go far away from my style. A kinda tonned down version of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy style of humor (minus the gross humor, I guess... I'm not good at that stuff).
I'm not yet sure what kind of "entity" Laura's supposed to be, though.

2. Rule 63

"After another normal school day, Louise heads back home, only to faint when she got near her house. After waking up, she enters her home only to find out a boy that looks exactly like a male version of herself in her bathroom. Louise runs to her room to call the police only to find that it seems her room got redecorated... Into a boy's room. Louis wonders what a female version of himself is doing in his home. WHAT IS HAPPENING?"

For Rule 63... I'm not all sure on the premise yet, but this is what I got so far. I'd gradually make genderbent versions of Louise's friends appear as well, but for a while, it'll be only Louis and Louise wondering what the heck is going on. And no, they aren't twins separated at birth or something, this'll be more of a... Girl slipped into another dimension kind of story. YES I KNOW IT'S BEEN DONE TO DEATH, but I'd like to make this one just a small story, nothing grand or anything. I'll focus more on how she's going to live her life in this new place instead of trying to get back, so maybe it can work. It'll be tough to make people forget that this premise has been done to death, but I'll say to this story the same thing I'll now say about dogman0's story "SomeHow", KonoSuba and Re:Zero: I think this story works best if you go into any of these directions: If the character completely gives up trying to go back and lives his new life in that new world, focusing more on other aspects (in KonoSuba's and Rule 63's case, it would be comedy), or if the sole purpose of that story is the character trying to go back to his/her own world (like dogman0's SomeHow). I think that was the reason I never got THAT invested in an anime called "Zero no Tsukaima". It was this back and forth of "he wants to go back, but maybe he wants to stay here?" that really bothered me. Same with Sword Art Online, but that one has a ton of other problems other than that lol

3. Purse Girl

"Lucy, a mercenary, is caught by the police and is sent to jail for her crimes. Not wanting the jail life, Lucy takes the offer of a government agent that visited her: They'll completely forget her crimes if she tests their new weapons. Her first test is a purse with a dimensional pocket, able to carry anything, including all the weapons she's going to test.
From a wardrobe that gives the person who wear its clothes the abilities of the people that last owned them to rocket boots that may or may not explode, Lucy tries to keep her mercenary life while serving as a guinea pig for new, dangerous items that can make her missions more of a mess than they already were."

This one was going to be a manga last year, but I never got the idea off the ground (mainly because I sucked at drawing back when I first thought about this story. Still do, though). I literally remodeled the story structure while I was writing it here, and I think it's for the best, I liked the changes. This one is just a Bond-like adventure, where the items may or may not help the protagonist. Like that show, Totally Spies, but you know... With mercenaries instead of spies, I guess.

4. Mun's School of Magic - 32 Cases

"
Mun’s School of Magic - 32 Cases

In the mystical city of Mun, students of the school of magic are paired up so that each student helps out his partner out in their studies, or so is everyone told. Marie and Leo are, respectively, the best and the worst student of their class. Being childhood friends, this pair couldn’t be better for the two. But as the year goes on, Marie and Leo start finding out the true reason for the pairing system… Protection. An increasing stream of students disappearing, going insane and all sorts of misfortunes is worrying the higher ups of the school, who have no idea of the reason behind all those incidents… Except for one clue: They have the same pattern as 32 old cases that happened to students in the past. From accidentally blowing up half the forest with magic to disappearing without a trace, Marie and Leo set out to resolve the mystery behind those incidents before all their friends – or even themselves – suffer any of the 32 misfortunes of Mun’s School of Magic."

I always loved the "school of magic" concept, and always wanted to make a story around that. This was the most interesting way I could think to tap into a concept that has been done extremely better by other authors (cof cof J.K Rowling cof cof), although the concept is as far as I got, story-wise.

WELL, that's it. If you read all of this, you deserve a dozen cookies and my sincere thanks. Sharing this stuff with other people through here seems like the best way to get feedback, plus I just wanted to share this stuff. It's been collecting dust in my story ideas folder in my brain (and in my pc), so I wanted to use those ideas for something right now.
Again, thanks a lot if you read all of this. You're awesome.
